All He Had to Offer

Here is a story reported to be true about a nine year old boy from Tennessee.

His house was in a poor area of the community. A church there had a bus Ministry that came  knocking on his door one Saturday afternoon.
The child came to answer the and greeted the bus pastor. The bus pastor asked if his parents were home and the small boy told him that his parents take off every weekend and leave him at home alone to take care of his little brother. The bus pastor could not believe what the child said and asked him to repete it. The youngster gave him the same answer and the bus pastor asked to come in a talk with him. They went into the living room and sat down on an old couch with the foam and springs exposed.
The bus pastor asked the child where he went to church. The young boysuprised the pastor by saying, "I've never been to church in my whole life." The bus pastor thought to himself about the fact that his church was less than three miles form the childs house. "Are you sure that you have never been to church?" he asked again. "I'm sure I haven't." came his answer.
Then the bus pastor said, "Well, son, more important than going to church, have you ever heard the greatest love story ever told?" And then he proceeded to share the Gospel with this little nine-year-old boy.
The young lad's heart began to tenderize at the end of the bus pastors story. The bus pastor asked if the boy wanted to recieve this free gift from God. The youngster exclaimed, "OF COURSE!!!" The child and the bus pastor got on their knees and the lad invited Jesus into his little heart adn recieved the free gift of salvation.
They both stood up and the bus pastor asked if he pick the child up the next morningfor church. "Sure." the nine year old boy replyed.

The bus pastor got to the house the next morning and found that all the lights were off. He let himself in and snaked his way through the house and found thelittle boy asleep in his bed. He woke up the little boy and brother and helped them get dressed and. They got onto the bus and ate a doughnut for breakfast on their way to church. (keep in mind that the little boy had never been to church and this was a big one.)
The little boy just sat there, clueless as to what was going on. A few minutes into the service, these tall unhappy looking guys walked down to the front adn picked up some wooden plates.
One of the men prayed and the child, wiht utter fasination watched them walk up and down the aisles. He still did not know what was going on. Suddenly, like a bolt of lightning, it hit the child what was taking place.
"These people must be giving money to Jesus." he thought. He then reflected the free gift of life that he had just recieved 24 hours earlier.
He immediately searched his pockets, front and back and could not find a thing to give Jesus.
By this time, the offering plate was being passed down his aisle and with a broken heart, he just grabbed the plate and held on to it. He finally let go and watched it pass down the aisle behind him. And then his eyes remained glued on the plate as it was passed back and forth all the way to the back of the sanctuary
Then he had an idea. This little nine year old boy, in front of God and everybody, got up out of his seat and walked about eight rows back and grabbed the usher by the coat and asked if he could have the plate just one more time. Then he did the most outstanding thing I have ever heard of. He took the plate, sat it on the carpeted floor of the church and stepped into the center of  it. As he stood there, he lifted his head up and said, "Jesus, I don't have anything to give you today, but just me! I give you me!!

Unfolding the Rosebud

It's only a tiny rosebud,
A flower of God's design:
But I cannot unfold the petals
With these clumsy hands of mine.

The secret of unfolding flowers
Is not known to such as I.
GOD opens this flower so sweetly,
When in my hands they fade and die.

If I cannot unfold a rosebud,
This flower of God's design,
Then how can I think I have wisdom
To unfold this life of mine?

So I'll trust Him for His leading
Each moment of everyday.
I will look to Him fo His guidance
Each step of the pilgrim way.

The pathway that lies before me,
Only my Heavenly Father knows.
I'll trust Him to unfold the moments,
Just as he unfolds the rose.

I really don't remember how I "stumbled" upon these two verses in the Bible, but they have helped me when I thought that there was nobody in the world who heard my pain and cries or even knew. I wish that I could have found it earlier in my life time.

I wrote this about myself from a year ago. I was going through a time of my life where I hated myself and was having some pretty serious intermind problems. I hope that you can enjoy it and think of sometime that you hated yourself, but now you realize that everything is fixable and temporary.

Psalm 34:17,18

17. The righteous cry out and the Lord heareth and delivereth them out of all their troubles.
18. The Lord is nigh unto those that are of a broken heart and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.

Evil Girl

Who is she? Why does she haunt me so?
I just want to live my life in my world of happiness.
She comes out of nowhere and hurts me. She stabbs the ones I love and she tells them it is me that does it.
I beg for her to go away, but I do not see her till she is gone. She leaves so much damage and hurt. It takes so much time to fix.
When will she come back? Will I see her before she leaves? Will I be able to stop her before she starts?
Everyone I love hates her. They tell me to stay away from her, yet they never tell her to leave. She feels invited. She sees things and tells me them. She twists them around and makes me feel pain, but when I hear them, it is too late.
I want her buried, but how? How do I know what to do? Where to start?
But you see, when I look at her when she leaves, she seems so famliliar. Have I seen her before? Who is she? Who is it that I could possiably hate so much??
There she is!! Here she comes!! She's turning around!!
Oh my goodness, she's me.

My mom had these Bible verses sent to me today and it seems as though they go along with what is going on that day, This one just happened to hit home pretty well for this particular day/

1 Corinthians 2:5
Your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.

Proverbs 27:5
Better is open rebuke then hidden love
.

Revelation 3:10-12
10. Because thou hast kept my word of patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.
11. Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.
12. Him that overcometh will I make a piller in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God and the name of the city of my God,(which is) New Jerusalem which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and (I will write upon him) my new name.

I wrote this after realizing that if you live your life for something more important than a person and KNOW that there is more to life than pain and hurt. You know that someone actually loves you for you, your life can change faster than you can blink.
Like the verse above, God knows what's going on, and He's going through it with you. You're not alone. Nobody is.

Something Different

The day is rising, it's all new.
I feel the heat of the sun on my body through the blanket. I hear birds chirping.
As I get out of bed, I look out the window. I don't know what lies ahead, yet I feel  excited and happy.

It hasn't always been like this. I used to live my life in fear. Scared of what was ahead of me for that day. I would dread going to sleep and constantly cry myslef to sleep.
Then one day, all the pain, fear, and crying stopped. The cloud over my head left. All the worries fleed. The sun came out. The rain stopped.
*smile* My life is new.
