The Boring Factual Stuff...
WMCR is Marist College Radio. The station is located within the Student
Center on campus of Marist College in Poughkeepsie, New York.
The radio station recently underwent a complete renovation, now broadcasting
from a new spacious modern facility. WMCR broadcasts at 1/10th of a watt
(only) in FM stereo with the transmitter located on top of Champagnat Hall
on campus.
A Learning Experience...
WMCR is one-hundred percent student run. Headed by an all student staff,
WMCR is one of the most fun, interesting, and exciting clubs on campus.
Students operate the radio station board, turn tables, cd players,
and microphones, and present themselves professionally on the air,
all while learning the basic skills needed for a career in
radio, and having fun while doing it.
